Tania has dramatically recreated the two 1944 missions of Lieutenant Violette Szabó, GC, SOE Secret Agent in WWII, to retrace each step of her dramatic journeys in the most dangerous zones of occupied France with flashbacks to describe how Violette became the remarkable young, brave and beautiful woman she was. The title was devised by Seamus Morvan of the Morvan Family Hotels.
Young Brave and Beautiful was researched and written by Violette's daughter, Tania Szabó.

The Jersey War Tunnels' website [www.jerseywartunnels.com] is certainly worth a visit .
Their museum created in the Tunnels gouged out from granite by slave labour at the behest of the German Occupiers during WWII is fascinating and full of detail and background information. Hundreds of stories of the Islanders are proudly displayed. And, of course, there is the Szabó Room dedicated to Violette.
The Jersey War Tunnels is an award-winning museum with fun and education in mind. You can find it in the beautiful St. Peters Valley in Jersey, Channel Islands. They purchased the entire first edition of the hardback of Young Brave and Beautiful for sale in their on-site bookshop. Therefore, until very recently, they were its sole retailers. The only external online sales of Young Brave and Beautiful is through this website ( www.violetteszabo.org) on the first page through the various PayPal icons. Safe, simple and speedy. Paul Simmonds, the Tunnels CEO, hosted the launch party for Young Brave and Beautiful on 15 November 2007, graced by the presence of the Lt.-Governor of Jersey, Lt. General Andrew Ridgway, Sir Henry Cooper OBE and Lady Albina, Lysander Pilot, Bob Large, DFC, Jack Higgins, author. Tania Szabó, her cousins Kerry Bushell and his mother from Australia and John Lucas from Herefordshire were delighted with the entire evening which was a great success with many copies sold. ♦

The publishers of Young Brave and Beautiful are Channel Island Publishing through their man-about-town, Simon Watkins. They publish, and their commercial interests lie, within the Channel Islands. Tania Szabó and V&E a.r.l., her company, hold the copyright to Young Brave and Beautiful.
The Jersey War Tunnels purchased the entire first edition hardback of Young Brave and Beautiful for sale within the Channel Islands from their sole bookshop at the Tunnels.
Tania is presently preparing Young Brave and Beautiful for the next edition as stocks are running low. She is correcting errata, slimming it down and generally putting a better finish to the whole. She has been delayed by her friend's long illness and death but will return shortly to its completion.
The superb cover of the book has been beautifully produced by Glen Smith and his colleagues at Image CI.
